The STARR Upper Peninsula (UP) Scholarship is awarded to one graduate of a Michigan UP High School that demonstrates academic excellence and leadership, as evidenced by high school performance, essays, interviews, or other indicators determined by the university. Each award provides up to $20,000 per recipient and may be renewed for up to eight semesters, contingent upon maintaining satisfactory academic progress as defined by the university.
Eligible students are notified and apply for the scholarship via the MSU Admissions portal. Materials are due on January 18, 2026.
